Laboratoire performances-errances comprenant cinq créations élaborées durant un an à travers le globe. Périple poétique, ce projet artistique inédit intègre un pan à trois niveaux où il est donné à voir deux performances in vivo: Messaline et CHRONOS, deux performances filmées projetées: Doris Magico back to the Wall et Hic & Nunc, ainsi qu’une performance ex cathedra diffusée en temps réel: TOPO. Des propositions dont le nomadisme et la contemplation du monde sont les moteurs.

Laboratoire performance errance (“laboratory of performance and wandering”) consisting of five pieces devised during one year spent wandering the entire globe. This unprecedented artistic project is a poetic expedition that unfolds on three levels, which include two performances in vivo (Messaline and CHRONOS); two filmed and projected performances (Doris Magico Back to the Wall and Hic & Nunc); as well as an ex cathedra performance shown in real time (TOPO). All these propositions are driven by a similar nomadic and contemplative relationship to the world.

Anne Rochat poursuit son projet autour de la marche en traversant cette fois-ci les 120 kilomètres de longueur que représente le Salar d’Uyuni en Bolivie. Dans cette performance filmée sur vingt-quatre heures un soir de pleine lune, l’artiste foule un patrimoine économique et énergétique, le transfigurant en patrimoine poétique.
Anne Rochat carries on with her walking-focused project, this time by crossing the 120 km of the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia. In this performance—filmed in real time during 24 hours on the night of the full moon—the artist treads an economic and energetic heritage, transforming it into a poetic heritage.

Le périple Flu.o se termine avec la performance TOPO, transmise en temps réel durant vingt-quatre heures et accompagnée en live avec la musique de Laurent Bruttin et Ariel Garcia. Cette nouvelle performance, TOPO, suit le même fonctionnement que Hic et Nunc: une marche filmée d’une durée de 24 heures. Les épicéas entourent la performeuse, la teinte chromatique a changé, l’horizon a disparu et le décor a basculé dans la verticalité. Dans cette dense forêt de conifères, Anne Rochat ne laissera pas tomber de petits cailloux pour retrouver son chemin. La déambulation de l’artiste originaire de la vallée de Joux suivra une logique intime qui tentera d’incarner une des métaphores de la marche : explorer le monde pour s’explorer soi-même.
« Dans Hic et Nunc et TOPO, l’important n’est pas un but à atteindre, mais un trajet. Ce sont des sortes d’antiperformances sportives. Le temps est utilisé comme un cadre, et non comme le résultat d’un chronomètre… »

The Flu.o journey ends with a performance titled TOPO, projected in real time during 24 hours with a live accompaniment provided by the music of Laurent Bruttin and Ariel Garcia. TOPO is a performance that takes place over 24 consecutive hours, through one of the largest forests in Switzerland: the Risoud forest. This is an unconventional piece, where I will test my endurance by putting myself in conditions of survival. It is an engaged artistic act, that engages with our own Swiss history. Walking means moving forward with respect and slowness, without forgetting to think.
